This Guru Poornima is celebrated in honor of Veda Vyas. Veda Vyas is the Guru of the Hindu Dharma, who wrote the Brahma Sutras, the eighteen Puranas and the Mahabharat. Veda Vyasa made several contributions to the Vedic literature.
